2012 - Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day

Each November, poppies are worn across the world in tribute to the bravery of the Armed Forces. It is a symbol of remembrance, to acknowledge the on-going bravery of the Armed Forces and remember those who have died in conflict.

To reflect the beauty of the poppy, this new coin has been colour-printed using trichromatic techniques which help capture the poppy's dramatic colouring.

A donation from each sale will be made to the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal.

The obverse of the coin depicts an image of Her Majesty the Queen by Ian Rank- Broadley FRBS.

This issue is available as an informative £5 Cupro-Nickel presentation pack or as a £5 silver crown.
