Liquor - Licence Renewal
Liquor Licences run from the 1st February to 31st January the following year. A renewal Notice and application form are sent out to current licensed premises in October each year. The application to renew should be returned to the Court office, with the Court listing fee, by mid November, as it must be displayed on the Court Notice Board for 42 days before the Court hearing. Applications are considered at the first Court session in January.
Any objection to a licensing renewal must be notified to the Court and the Applicant 21 days prior to the Renewal Court. It must also be displayed on the notice board outside the Courthouse. On receipt of an objection, a date and time will be fixed when the Court will hear the application and the objection to determine whether the licence should be renewed.
