Alderney Health Trainer provides free, confidential, one-to-one support, motivation and guidance for Alderney residents aged 18 and over who want help to improve their overall health and wellbeing.

If you would like to:

  • become more active
  • eat a healthier diet
  • give up smoking
  • reduce your stress levels
  • improve your wellbeing
  • cut down on drinking alcohol

Walking for Health

Meeting every Sunday afternoon outside the Moorings at 2.45pm for a 30 minute walk around Braye

Run here in Alderney by three trained, friendly and enthusiastic volunteer walk leaders, Julia Hetherton, Helen Martin and Rod Paris. It's free, sociable and a great way to increase physical fitness.

The Walking for Health scheme is supported by the Ramblers Association, Macmillan Cancer Charity and the Health Promotion Unit in Guernsey whose aim is to promote walking as one of the simplest and most effective forms of exercise.
