The Noxious Weeds Law Notice
The Noxious Weeds Law (Amendment) (Alderney) Ordinance, 2003
In November 2003 the States passed the above Ordinance which reduced the Schedule under the Noxious Weeds Law (Loi Relative aux Mauvais Herbes 1933) to one species, namely Common Ragwort.
The aim was to target this one specific weed and bring it under control.
All owners and tenants of land are requested to take action to remove as soon as possible any Ragwort found on their land. Failure to do so is an offence and could lead to prosecution under the Law.
