Press Release - Recreational Boating Alderney

Resumption of Inter-Island travel in Phase 4 of the Exit from Lockdown

Inter-island travel within the Bailiwick of Guernsey will resume from 1st June.

Recreational Boating

The lifting of time restrictions means that recreational vessels will be able to travel to Alderney from Guernsey, Sark and Herm as long as they meet the conditions set out by the States of Guernsey.

We look forward to welcoming visitors from within the Bailiwick to Alderney.

Facilities in Braye Harbour are restricted because the annual inspection of moorings has not yet been carried out and a repair to the piling is required to fully extend the harbour pontoon. We currently estimate that the moorings and fully extended pontoon will not be available until the end of June.

Until this work has been carried out, vessels visiting Alderney will therefore need to anchor within Braye Bay and transfers into the Harbour will be arranged. The Harbour Office requests visiting vessels to notify their intention to visit, giving 48 hours notice, by email to harbour@alderney.gov.gg and using the form available on the States of Alderney website click here
