Holocaust Memorial Day 2021

Holocaust Memorial Day will be marked in Alderney by a short service of remembrance at midday on Wednesday the 27th of January at the Hammond Memorial.

The service will be conducted by Reverend Jan Fowler and a wreath will be laid by the President. All members of the community are invited to attend.

Members of the community are also invited to light a candle in St Anne's Church from 1pm onwards and to light a candle at home at 8pm and put it in the window.

"We all know only too well the extent of the suffering that took place on our Island and this will be an opportunity to show our solidarity with all those who will show their respect on this important day."
