Press Release - Tax Review questions 22.04.2022
Opportunity to put questions to politicians on tax review options
Residents of Alderney and Guernsey are being handed an opportunity to find out more about the Bailiwick's Tax Review.
Islanders will be able to put their questions to a panel of political members and experts in a live Q&A beginning at 7pm on Tuesday April 26th.
The live Q&A will be broadcast on the States of Guernsey Facebook page and at ourfuture.gg/tax-review. Islanders will be able to submit questions live using the Facebook comments or by emailing taxreview@gov.gg during the broadcast.
"We are aware that the Alderney community still has many unanswered questions and we encourage the community to take advantage of this opportunity," said Ian Carter, Deputy Chairman of Alderney's Policy & Finance Committee.
It will last roughly an hour and the panel will field as many questions and cover as many topics relating to the Tax Review as possible during that time.
Any question relating to the Tax Review is welcome. The questions will be moderated to avoid repetition and to ensure the language is not inappropriate.
Panellists will include Deputy Peter Ferbrache, President of the Policy & Resources Committee; Deputy Mark Helyar, Treasury lead for the Policy & Resources Committee; Deputy Peter Roffey, President of the Committee for Employment & Social Security; Mark Thompson, non-States Member of the Committee for Employment & Social Security; and Bethan Haines, States of Guernsey Treasurer.
