Education on Alderney

Alderney has one school, St Anne's School, which teaches children from the age of 4 to 16 continuously. Additional educational establishments may be found in Guernsey and Jersey.

Adult education classes are also available.

The school leaving age in Alderney is 16 years.

Further education - 'A' levels, tertiary and vocational education - is provided in Guernsey.

St Anne's School

Situated on a lovely site overlooking Braye Harbour, St Anne's School is an 'all age, all ability' mixed school. The school teaches children from 4 years to 16 years offering a full range of GCSE subjects. It is equipped with excellent facilities, including the latest computer communications technology.

The Alderney Computing Flexi Centre

The Alderney Computing Flexi Centre offers a wide variety of computer based courses from spreadsheets, databases, desktop publishing and word processing to website design.
In-house training is also available and the centre offers internet cafe facilities.
