Mr Earl resigns as States Member

I have today received a letter from David Earl informing me of his intention to resign from the States of Alderney with immediate effect.

Mr Earl was the Chair of the Finance Committee and vice Chair of the Policy and Finance Committee.

He was also a member of a number of action groups set up by the Policy and Finance Committee to address specific areas.

I am sure that the community and his fellow Members will wish to join with me in thanking him for his contribution during his time in Office.

The States will now put in place the necessary arrangements for the by-election which is required to be held within 3 months of the resignation.
