Harbour crane repaired

Alderney's new harbour crane is back in service following a remedial fix and will unload island supplies when the MV Trinity docks on Friday evening (July 9th).

It has been discovered that the new crane had suffered a defect that is covered by warranty.

Additional new parts are due to be dispatched and fitted as a priority but the manufacturer has given its assurance that the crane is safe to operate.

Alderney Shipping has now rescheduled the Trinity for arrival tomorrow evening.
